1/2 c. fresh-squeezed orange juice, 1/4 c. buttermilk, 1 egg, 1/4 tsp. pure almond extract, 3 c. flour, 4 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1/4 tsp. kosher salt, 1/2 c. butter, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. slivered almonds, 1 tbsp. fresh orange zest. preheat oven to 375 degrees. in medium bowl, beat orange juice, buttermilk, egg and almond extract. in large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. add butter sugar, almonds and orange zest. toss until combined. whisk juice mixture into flour mixture to form a soft dough. knead dough on floured surface 7-8 times, and shape 10 slightly flat rounds. place on greased baking sheet. bake for 25 min. or until golden brown.

apply to wet body or scalp. lather, rinse, repeat. if using as a bubble bath, drizzle a generous amount under running water and enjoy.
