1 1/2 c. flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. softened unsalted butter, 3/4 c. granulated sugar, 2 eggs, 1 yolk, 2 tsp. vanilla extract, 1/2 c. milk. whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. in bowl, beat butter on high until light and fluffy. gradually beat in sugar until very light. using medium speed, beat in eggs one at a time, yolk, and vanilla. on low speed beat in flour mixture with milk until blended. spoon butter into lined muffin tin 3/4 full. bake at 350 degrees for 20-22 minutes.
