purchase policies

1. orders; maximum quantities

placement of an order does not constitute acceptance of your order by philosophy. we may require additional information, and all orders are subject to product availability. we do not authorize the purchase of our products for resale purposes. we reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors or that may otherwise appear fraudulent. to enforce this policy, we may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel orders and/or quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. Additionally, we may cancel orders without notice due to insufficient supply, your noncompliance with offer terms, lack of bank authorization, system error, if your IP address is linked to a non-U.S. country, your use of a non-U.S. credit card, inability to verify your shipping address, any unforeseen problems, or for any other reason in philosophy’s sole discretion.

there is a maximum quantity of 9 of any one item number per customer, per order. this restriction may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. if you have additional questions about your order, please visit the consumer care section of philosophy.com, or call us at 1.800.568.3151 or through our contact us form.

2. order processing & tracking

it is our goal to process and ship your order as quickly as possible. standard orders are typically processed within 24-48 hours from the time of purchase. orders placed on saturdays, sundays and holidays will be processed the following business day. please allow 5-10 business days for standard shipping.

to track an order already placed, simply call philosophy customer care at 1.800.568.3151, monday through friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. est and we would be happy to track your package for you.

3. shipping

we currently only ship to addresses in the united states and its territories and possessions. view our shipping policy at https://www.philosophy.com/shipping-policy.html.

4. returns

while we hope that you are always satisfied with your philosophy purchase, we understand that you may wish to return a product. if you would like to return your product, please review the information below:

  • products returned must be ordered directly from philosophy.com.
  • items marked final sales may not be returned.
  • we are unable to process returns or exchanges for any product purchased from one of our retail partners. all items purchased through our retailers must be returned to the retailer from which the product was purchased in accordance with their return policies.
  • products must be returned within 60 days of purchase. Any items returned beyond this guarantee time frame will not be refunded, credited or returned.
  • all shipping costs for returned items are the responsibility of the customer. Please send your returns via a traceable shipping method and insure the package for the cost of the items.
  • original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
  • philosophy is not responsible for lost or damaged shipments.
  • purchases from philosophy are subject to the terms of use, purchase policies and privacy policy which can be found on the philosophy home page.
  • for additional information including return instructions, please see the returns page on philosophy.com or contact philosophy customer service at 1.800.568.3151, monday – friday from 9am – 6pm est.
  •  if your return contains items from more than one order, the items must be returned individually with their corresponding packing slip
  • if the order you are returning contains a gift with purchase,  you must return the gift to receive a refund. this includes purchases that qualified for gift with purchase and hooray for friday offers.

5. auto-delivery

what is auto-delivery?

philosophy’s auto-delivery program offers the convenience of having your favorite products shipped to you automatically on a schedule you choose, so that you never run out of your favorite product. With the auto-delivery program, shipping is free after the initial order!

getting started is easy. if a product has a frequency option, it’s available for auto-delivery. just select your desired size, quantity and delivery frequency, and add to your shopping bag. once you place your order, the product(s) you’ve set for auto- delivery will ship to you at the frequency you’ve chosen. you may modify or cancel your auto-delivery program (for orders that have not already been processed) by updating your account information on philosophy.com or by calling our customer service at 1.800.568.3151 see here for more.

 

promotions

your first order on philosophy.com that contains an auto-delivery item(s) may be eligible for additional promotions and discounts offered on philosophy.com. no subsequent auto-delivery orders will be eligible for  additional discounts and promotions. discounts and promotions may be subject to additional terms and restrictions (see Section 7 below).

price changes

any pricing changes will be communicated in advance of your shipments with an ability to opt-out of the program.

payment for auto-delivery orders

we use the credit card on file for each auto-delivery program to process each of your deliveries. you may modify your payment options when you log in to your account. philosophy reserves the right to cancel your shipment and/or your auto-delivery program if your credit card on file is declined for any reason.

we accept the following methods of payment for auto-delivery programs: visa, mastercard, discover or american express. at this time we are unable to accept paypal or apple pay as payment for the auto-delivery program.

discontinued and delayed items

we reserve the right to cancel a auto-delivery order and program should an item be discontinued. you will be notified in advance if this occurs. should an item contained in a auto-delivery program be temporarily out of stock at time of shipment, the order will be held until the item comes back in stock and will them be shipped. all future orders will be adjusted to reflect the selected frequency based upon the last shipment date.

6. prices; payment & taxes

the products and services displayed on philosophy.com can only be ordered and delivered within the united states and its territories and possessions. certain products may be available in select u.s. retail locations and certain foreign markets. all prices displayed on philosophy.com are quoted in u.s. dollars and are valid and effective only in the u.s.

we accept the following types of payment: U.S. visa, mastercard, discover or american express cards. paypal and apple pay are accepted for all orders except auto-delivery orders.

we charge sales tax on all orders.

7. order promotions & samples

from time to time, philosophy may offer promotions through e-mails, catalogs, and advertisements. with a valid registered philosophy.com account, you may be eligible from time to time to receive e-mail promotions and offers that include special codes for special free samples, free shipping, or other promotions. these promotions are subject to the terms of use and these purchase policies, as well as any additional terms and conditions specific to the promotion offer. please enter the code exactly as provided (codes are case sensitive). limit one promotion code per order and per customer. At its sole discretion for any reason, philosophy may restrict redemption to one per client or may change or cancel an order without notice.
