Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love lightness The product is wonderful, fast absorption, light weight. Delivery system is difficult. If stored upright on cap, can not control amount dispensed. Hard to store with cap upright which gives better control of amount dispensed. Have to cut end off to use full content of tube because can not get it to come out, yet several days worth of content remain.. Must be better type of container.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for oily skin... I have very oily and sensitive skin. To apply just any sunscreen to my face is asking for trouble. This moisturizer is perfect to protect my oily skin against sun damage. I use daily when in the sun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light Moisturizer This moisturizer feels very light on the skin. I take turns with my Hope is not Enough moisturizer and this. I like a lighter feel on my skin during these warm months and this is perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great SPF Lotion I've been using moisturizer with SPF for almost 30 years and this is my favorite. It is not greasy or heavy compared to other SPF lotions and has a great scent. It does not absorb as quickly as some light lotions without SPF, but I think that is to be expected since it has sun protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It! Take a Deep Breath is an excellent moisturizer as well as a sun screen. It is oil-free and does not make your skin feel greasy. I recommend it for anyone who has sensitive skin that tends to be on the oily side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this moisturizer! I've been looking for a moisturizer with SPF that isn't heavy or greasy - and I found it! It only takes a small amount. It absorbs quickly, is not greasy, and has a very light fresh scent that doesn't linger. I gave a tube to my sister and she loves it as well. Some products tend to make her break out but she has not had that issue with "take a deep breath".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite moisturizer of all time! I love, love, LOVE this moisturizer! It's light, absorbs quickly, and it not greasy at all. The best part is that when I wear this under my makeup, it protects me from the sun all day long. No more burnt face or having to use greasy sunscreen sticks when we we spend all day on the motorcycle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In love with the product, but could use better packaging I have sensitive combination oily skin, and it's hard to find a moisturizer with spf that doesn't make me break out or look greasy. I finally found this, and I'm in love. It's thinner, not a thick cream. It does take a bit to fully absorb, but it's light weight on the skin and feels refreshing. The scent isn't over powering. It doesn't feel like a sunscreen. My only complaint is that I feel this should be in a pump bottle. It is very thin so it pours out too easily, so a pump would have been better. You may want to use a mattifying powder over it if you don't have time to let it absorb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! I have looked for and tried so many sun protection products that does not make my face look greasy and sticky and this is hands down the best I have ever found! I love this product. please do not ever discontinue! I have very small pored sensitive skin. this is the only sun protection that goes on feeling like I have nothing on my face. All other sunscreens I have tried leaves my face looking like I smeared grease on it as it causes the skin to look so shiny (in a bad way) and leaves a greasy oily feeling causing me to have to put on powder to tone down the greasy look. Not so this product! This leaves the skin feeling and looking like it normally looks with nothing on at all...which is a blessing! No greasy looking residue at all and skin feels petal soft and not sticky! I can put it on and just go out. More over it never causes my skin to break out. I cannot say enough good things about this product! Thank you Philosophy for making such a great product! I am a fan for life!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TL;DR: Great facial spf, I'm a fan When I saw the email notification for this product launch, I went out to my local store to find it. It was on the bottom shelf at an ulta and they hadn't even got a tester out before I grabbed it up. I'd just restocked my night cream shortly before this release or i would have bought the take a deep breath night cream as well. The normal moisturizer from the take a deep breath line is so good that whenever i get a sample of it in an order, I give it to others to show them how good it is. I really wanted to try this. The scent and sensation of the original moisturizer was fantastic, and philosophy moisturizers are the only ones I've found so far that aren't too heavy or break me out. I'm very pale and very sun sensitive, and need to wear sunscreen every day- but they often feel greasy, make me shiny, leave residue, clog pores, etc. I love philosophy and everything I've tried so far has been really great for my super sensitive, super combo skin. Very dry patches, very oily patches, blackheads, acne, everything really. But since I took the leap into philosophy products it's balanced me out and improved my skin so much. This sunscreen didn't quite smell or feel exactly as i remembered (I go from HIAJ to take a deep breath occasionally- love them both) but it felt lovely, blended in easily and didn't leave any upsetting residue or greasy look. I could wear makeup or go bare faced just as easily without feeling like I had to powder, which is what I usually feel is necessary after using most other spf facial products. The scent was much less noticeable, which is only a downside if you're like me and love it. Personally I love pretty much all philosophy scents in skincare and I don't find it irritating unless i accidentally get it in my eyes - though not enough to quit using it probably too close to my eyes, obviously. (From some other reviews I feel like I'm in the minority in that I actually don't want philosophy to tone down or eliminate the fragrance from their skincare, I like it all.) Now that I think about it- I actually used to have annoying white bumps under my eyes as well, and after my skincare transition they've subsided. I didn't expect that result and I've only just noticed really. My skin is so sensitive that it used to swing from parched and red and irritated to greasy and broken out- sometimes just in different places all at once. To find products that actually balance me out and work and don't cause more problems is really a huge win for me. Never thought I'd have nice skin before now. I still get weird if i get lazy with my routine, but it's a huge improvement. Philosophy is the only brand from which I'd rush out to buy a new product from without seeing any prior reviews, and having used this spf for a few days I can say that my confidence was well placed. So far I'm very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Daily Spf on Market for Blemish/Clog Prone Skin!!! :) I felt compelled to have to write a review for those like me who truly suffer in having to turn heaven and earth to find an spf that doesn't break you out or clog you. To the eye I have a very clear looking peaches and cream complexion on days I'm lucky. However anyone who knows me knows how meticulous I have had to be all my life with my insanely fussy combo oily/blemish/clog prone skin. The air so much as hits my face the wrong way and I have random breakouts out of nowhere lol. Per this I have totally had to become a skin care junkie and ingredient natzi endlessly trying out products over the years as if I was a beauty editor sadly. Took me forever to find a skincare routine to keep my skin balanced and spf had always been my Achilles heel as an understatement. No matter how the claims of light, oil free, matte, dry touch, won't clog etc etc I have tried every chemical, physical, drugstore, high end spf or moisturizer with spf out there with no luck. I'm either left with breakouts within the day or insanely clogged skin within the week just ruining all the hard work and time I put into my skincare. I get how important it is for sun protection and anti aging but at the cost of my sanity over the years so i really gave up wearing spf day to day and only on beach or hiking days where I was outside for long periods of time would I suck it up and deal with nightmare skin in wearing a good spf. Recently i started using Aha and Retinol Serums nightly as opposed to occassionally which has kept my skin clear and balanced to perfection but in that not wearing a daily spf wasn't something I could rationalize anymore. I tried out again about a dozen of the best reviewed and formulas out there and same story broken out or clogged within the week from all these so called light products that are either full of endless, silicones, alcohol, emoliants, starches, and cloggers. I am so glad I randomly stumbled upon this new product when searching on Sephora in a last attempt to find something I hadn't tried before and was so excited to find this gel cream spf. I haven't had luck with any other Philosophy brand products in the past per oils or just leaving my skin type way to moist and greasy but per the reviews and ingredients this one seemed like exactly what I had always been trying to find aka a super light day moisturizer with an adequate spf and still effortlessly absorbing. Bought it asap and haven't looked back. I truly would love for Sephora to make this a permanent product per how necessary it is for fussy skin types like mine who don't have the luxury of choosing a product out of many that work for them per smells or feeling nice etc. This is the spf version of my dream staple regular moisturizer, Clinique DDMG. Why it's taken decades for anyone to come out with a gel cream texture even with spf eithout endless silicones and alcohol is beyond me. But there is nothing else like it on the market crazily. For that the price is beyond justified among it luckily going a very long way for the tiniest amount. Easily spreads and absorbs like a drink of water and keeps your skin feeling so clean, smooth, and natural. Not crazy matte or dewey etc. Among that smells very fresh and not overly fragranced. Had I created and spf this would have been it and wish ibjadnt spent years or torture and money trying to find something similar while nothing else worked for me including even dermatologist lines. I have recommended this to several friends, some whom have drier skin than mine as this is the perfect summer moisturizer for anyone and my year round staple every morning from now on. I hope Philosophy never changes or discontinues this gem as for me is only thing that has ever worked and given me piece of mind which I am eternally grateful for as I get older in anti aging sum protection. The literally only con is Philosophy's squeeze tube design which I have always despised with all their other products but especially a moisturizer that is runnier like this. Too much product gets stuck snd complete goopy mess is always left in the opening which is frustrating as products aren't cheap and in forcing the consumer to waste it. This should have only come out in a pump bottle and what I easily did in transferring it to an empty airless glass one I had. Problem solved. If you can relate to any of my spf woes run and don't walk to try this out as I don't swear by products lightly per never having had that luxury!! :) A+++++++++

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Much better than others! Both hope in a jar and the ultimate miracle worker spf creams make me sweat, so badly!! It took me a long time to figure out it was my fave cream. This stuff is much better and lighter too. I also like that it’s oil free. I still look shiny in the afternoon but not near as shiny as when I use other philosophy products. Please make hope in a jar oil free again!!! Oh, and beware if you want to “stock up” like I did. All my bottles of this that I just ordered expire in December. I will try storing my extra in the fridge because there’s no way I’ll use it all by December.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good spf product I like the consistency of this product, it reminds of miracle worker spf that was discontinued. I always seem to like philosophy products that then get discontinued. I could live without the fragrance in this product, luckily it didn't break me out, but I don't need the smell. I also don't need my products colored, that seems completely unnecessary and unnatural. Overall it does seem to make my skin smoother.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Most comfortable sunscreen I have very sensitive skin and always have an issue with sunscreen. I have to wear but it always seems to cause issues. This is the first product I could wear all day and not have an issue after and it never felt greasy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I like the old one better I like the take a deep breath moisturizer with the blue writing better. This one feels sticky on my skin and doesn't absorb as fast. Has the other version been discontinued?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from stung my eyes I wanted to like this product, as I am always on the hunt for a good sunscreen. Unfortunately, this product really stung after it creeped into my eyes - it was worse than other sunscreens that have gotten too close and into my eyes (usually from sweating/exercising outdoors). It doesn't appear that this is a water-resistant sunscreen, but neither are some of the other sunscreens I use. I can't recommend this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No hope for this I used Hope Oil Free spf 30 for years and loved it. My “freak out at the slightest change in the weather” loved it and calmed down, my rosacea died down ... in short; Purity, microdermabrasion, and HOF30 were my fool proof routine ... until last year. Unable to get it anywhere anymore I turned to Philosophy for advice. They suggested Take a Deep Breath spf 30 as a replacement. I’ve given it nearly a year, and I’m shopping for another replacement and having to think about leaving Philosophy, cause my skin isn’t happy. This stuff has the consistency of milk and it pours out of the tube as soon as you open it. It doesn’t moisturize as well but my skin now has oily and dry patches and has become prone to breakouts. I’m waaayyyy too old for that! I’m severely disappointed in this product. We need hope oil free spf back!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Miss the original formula I finally used up the last speck of my last tube of the Take a Deep Breath formula prior to the one that is being sold now. I used a tiny bit of the new formula on my neck to see if I liked it. Aside from the slight burning feeling that I experienced, the immediate issue is the overpowering fragrance that is making me sneeze and feel nauseated! I have washed my neck thoroughly twice with Purity and I can STILL smell the scent! I do have some allergies/sensitivities; but, I checked the ingredients. There was nothing listed that I have a known problem with. I keep thinking that I am going to need my albuterol inhaler. The product is going back to the store where I bought it from. I am not thrilled that I am going to have to find a new moisturizer. I have used Philosophy for years and years. I wish that I had bought up more of the original formula, that’s for sure!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Where's the gel? What gel? What cream? From the name, I expected a product with the consistency of sour cream, or yogurt. This stuff pours out of the tube at the slightest downward tilt, like water. I've lost an enormous proportion of the product to waste because I couldn't control the flow and couldn't get the excess back in the tube. And, it feels tacky on my skin. The last several products I've bought from Philosophy have been real disappointments. This line was once a favorite. Now I'm going off it.
